New Horizons is about loving God and loving people. We want to be people who are authentic all the time. We do life together. Laughing. Crying. Serving. Singing. Living in loving community.
Our Sunday service starts at 10:00 am complete with nursery, kids classes, youth class, coffee and snacks. Join us for encouraging, biblical teaching that applies to our everyday lives, heartfelt worship, and all-around fun times together with God and each other. Small groups meet at various times during the week, too. We look forward to meeting you!
Youth Lunch

All youth are invited to lunch after the morning service as a group at Mongolian Grill Buffet in Radford. The cost is $8 for the buffet. Parents, please plan to pick up your teen at 1 pm at Mongolian Grill.
5th & 6th Grade Overnighter
August 15-16 (Friday / Saturday), 5 pm — 9:30 am

Attention all kids entering 5th or 6th grade… don't miss out on an awesome overnighter! We will be going swimming at Randolph Park, having dinner together, and having a time of worship and teaching along with our famous TAG! DecembeRadio Concert

Everyone is invited to a DecembeRadio CD release concert in Roanoke! One of the band members, Brian Bunn and his wife Emily, are part of our church family and we want to support this amazing band in any way that we can! Admission to the concert is by purchasing a CD at the door for $10. You can also pre-order an autographed copy of the CD for $7.99 (plus shipping). Bring your receipt to the show and admission is free! Admission is also free for kids 12 & under. Please contact Renee if you would like to carpool to the concert from the church. We will be meeting at 5:45 pm. We hope lots of you can come!
Welcome Baskets for International Students

Help us show God's love in a practical and effective way to the brand-new international students coming to Radford University this fall! We have provided welcome baskets for the new students for the past 3 years, and have seen many students get involved in our church and evangelistic Bible study through this blessing. If you would like to participate, please contact Renee Hidalgo or sign up at the info table. Please take one of the baskets that we have provided and then fill it up with items such as towels, toiletries, school supplies, or other goodies. Thank you for helping us reach the international students!
Missions Trips Interest Meeting & Lunch

We are so excited about the upcoming missions trips in 2009, and we would love for YOU to be a part of one (or both) or our teams! We will be going to Nicaragua the first week of January and to Portsmouth, England the last week of May and first week of June. If you are interested in either of these trips, or have any questions, we will be having an Interest Meeting & Lunch right after church on August 24. Please join us for a pizza lunch and a time of sharing about these trips, as well as an opportunity for you to ask questions.
Men's Campout
September 26 - 27 (Friday - Saturday), Claytor Lake Campground

Attention men, college & high school guys, and kids… don't miss our fall campout at Claytor Lake! We will be boating, canoeing, having devotions and worship around the campfire, and lots of other activities. All dads are welcome to bring their kids (boys or girls), and there is an option to stay overnight Friday night only, or both Friday and Saturday nights. We will have the cost for both options in a few weeks. Mark your calendars now for this great event!
Premarital Classes
Starting in October, Cost: $25/couple

We will be starting a series of 5-session per-marital classes for engaged couples as you prepare for marriage. These are required to be married at New Horizons or by one of the pastoral staff. Please sign up at the information table or contact Shelly with any questions.
Summer All-Church Prayer
Wednesdays, 8:30 - 9 am, at the church
Our all-church prayer meeting are on Wednesday mornings during the summer months. Everyone is invited to join us for a time of prayer for our church, our community, and our world!
